[annodex-users] Annodex usage

Hi Subram,

the standard distribution of libannodex does not come with an mpeg importer - this means that anxenc can not parse mpeg files and create annodex files out of them. It only supports the free codec formats vorbis, theora, and speex of xiph.org.

What you should do is transcode the mpeg files into Ogg Theora files and then go ahead with what you are trying to do. We have not extensively tested multitrack video in annodex, so I'm looking forward to your test results and bug reports.

Cheers,
Silvia.

Subject:	[annodex-users] Annodex usage

Hello,
Can someone help me with these problems.

1. I am trying to create an annodex file with a sample .mpg file.
The command i am using is anxenc beetel.mpg beetle.anx.
It keeps giving the Error :
anxenc: Error importing beetle.mpg: No importer
Not ready: No Importer.
2. I am trying to use the file write-clip-file.c that comes along with
the lib-annodex- source code to do the same thing ie. create an
Annodex file with the the given content.
However here is what happens when I execute write-clip-file beetel.mpg
beetel.anx
The file gives no error whatso ever and returns a file beetel.anx
which has 0 bytes in it.
Please help...My problem is this...I am t rying to create annodexed
media by splicing together 3 different mpg files...as one single
viewable file.
Any help would be greatly valued.
-regards
